Day
01: |
Arrival in Kathmandu. On
arrival, you will be meeting by a
representative to provide you with
your airport transfer to your Hotel.
The balance of the day is at leisure
to explore the city known as
Kantipur, the capital of the Federal
Democratic Republic of Nepal.

Day 02: |
Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath,
Kathmandu Durbar Square and
Swayambhunath.
Pashupatinath Temple: A sacred
temple of Lord Shiva Pashupatinath
with two-tiered golden roof situated
on the banks of the sacred river
Bagmati. It is the centre of Annual
Pilgrimage on the day of Maha
Shivaratri. This temple is situated
amidst the lush green natural
setting, 5 Km. East of city.
Kathmandu City: The capital of
Nepal, is also known as Kantipur. It
is named after Kasthamandap, an
imposing Pagoda near Hanuman Dhoka
Palace. Kasthamandap, supposed to be
made from a single tree, along with
Durbar Square is one of the ancient
places of Nepal.
Swayambhunath: One of the World’s
most glorious Buddhist Stupas,
painted on the four-sides of the
spire bases are the never sleeping
eyes of Lord Buddha. It lies 3 km
west of the city and situated about
77m above the level of the Valley.

Day 03: |
Visit Buddhist Monasteries in
Bouddha and Kapan Monastery.
After breakfast, drive to Boudha and
visit monasteries over there. Some
of the famous monasteries over there
are Shechen Monastery, Khawalung
Monastery, Thrangu Monastery Dilyak
Monastery, Pullahari Monastery &
Retreat Centre Khachoe, Ghakyil Ling
Nunnery, and Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling
Monastery. Later, we will head to
Kopan Monastery. North of Boudhanat,
Kopan is a thriving monastery of 360
monks, mainly from Nepal and Tibet,
and a spiritual oasis for hundreds
of visitors yearly from around the
world. Nearby is Khachoe Ghakyil
Ling Nunnery, home to 380 nuns. Both
the monastery and the nunnery are
under the spiritual guidance of Lama
Zopa Rinpoche, and the care of the
abbot, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lhundrup
Rigsel. And it has a network of some
140 centers and activities
world-wide, themselves expressions
of the Buddha activity of Lama
Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
Kopan offers the perfect environment
for study and meditation for serious
students, casual visitors, and
retreaters. Back to the hotel.

Day 04: |
Visit Patan City and Bhaktapur
Durbar Square. Then, drive to
Dhulikhel.
Bhaktapur City: Also known as
Bhadgaon, Bhaktapur is one of the
three major cities of the Kathmandu
valley, and we will visit its Durbar
square which although larger than
the one in Kathmandu, has fewer
temples due to an earthquake in
1934. We also visit the Nyatapola
Temple, which is not only the
highest temple (98 ft) in the valley
but also one of the best examples of
traditional architecture. Bhaktapur,
no doubt is the most distinctly
medieval city than the other two
cities Kathmandu and Patan. The main
occupation of the locals here are
weaving, pottery and farming.
Patan City: This sister
capital is an ancient city which is
also known as Lalitpur . This city
is full of Hindu temples and
Buddhist monuments with bronze
gateways, guardian deities and
wonderful carvings. It is also known
as the city of fine arts and for the
superb craftsmanship of its
artisans. On the way you will also
visit Tibetan Handicraft center
where you can observe the fine
example of Tibetan crafts. Then
Drive to Dhulikhel. On reaching,
check in to the hotel.

Day 05: |
Visit Namo Buddha and drive back to
Kathmandu (35 km, 1 hour approx).
You will be taken to Namo Buddha
this day for excursion tour. Namo
Buddha is situated on a hill above
Panauti. It requires an easy drive
or good walk to get there. There is
an amazing legend related to the
Buddha which is commemorated by an
ancient stone slab and a stupa with
all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.
According to the Buddhist legend,
the King Mahasattva gave his body to
a hungry tigress at this place. His
reliquary Stupa remained underground
for centuries. One day a hermit
called Bhagavan (Sakyamuni) came to
this site and got attracted to the
bulge. It is said that he clapped
his hands, and miraculously the
Stupa appeared. After short visit of
Namo Buddha, drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 06: |
Drive to Pokhara (200 km, 6 hours
approx). On reaching, check in to
the hotel.
Pokhara Valley: The Pokhara Valley,
the gateway to the Annapurna region
is one of the most picturesque spots
of Nepal. The never-waning beauty of
the valley is enhanced by its lovely
lakes Phewa, Begnas and Rupa,
surrounded by the glacial region of
the Annapurna Range of the
Himalayas. This scintillating valley
is situated 200 Kms west of
Kathmandu linked by the Prithvi
highway. This highway passes along a
highly picturesque region amidst the
midland valleys and the Terai belt
of the Kingdom. The magnificent
views of the Dhaulagiri, Himalchuli,
Macchapuchhre and five peaks of the
Annapurna provide a highly dramatic
view in a subtropical setting.
Pokhara is definitely a place not to
be missed.

Day 07: |
Hike World Peace Stupa, Boat ride in
Fewa Lake and Visit Matte Pani Gomba.
Early morning, hike to World Peace
Pagoda. This is a massive Buddhist
stupa is situated on the top of a
hill on the southern shore of Phewa
Lake. Besides being a impressive
sight in itself, the shrine is a
great vantage point which offers the
spectacular views of the Annapurna
range, Phewa Lake, and the Pokhara
city. We Climb the Raniban forest
crossing the suspension bridge.
After the 2 hours of walk we reach
stupa and enjoy the spiritual and
scenic beauty. Climbing down from
Pagoda is more enjoyable with the
view of Phewa Lake and the
mountains. We cross the lake after
the 20 minutes of boating with the
visit to island temple (Barahi
temple) in the middle of lake.
Later, we visit Karma Drubgyu
Chokhorling is a Karma Kagyu lineage
monastery situated in Pokhara,
Nepal. It is also known as “Matepani
Gompa”. There are currently about
100 lamas studying and staying there
under the guidance of Nyedon
Rinpoche who has to take care of
their daily needs and the
monastery’s maintenance. Besides
studying the Dharma, these lamas
have to perform daily prayers or
pujas and certain practices of the
Karma Kagyu lineage on important
dates. These Dharma activities are
important for the progress of the
lamas’ dharma practices and also for
the benefit of all sentient beings.

Day 08: |
Drive Pokhara to Lumbini via Tansen
(110 km, 5 hours approx).
After breakfast check-out from hotel
then drive to Lumbini via Tansen.
Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord
Buddha–the apostle of peace,
compassion and non-violence. It is
situated in Kapilvastu District of
Lumbini – the western Terai of Nepal
250 Kms southwest of Kathmandu.
Lumbini still preserves the broken
Ashokan pillar, ruins of old stupas,
image of Buddha’s mother Maya Devi
and holy pond which is known as
Puskarni Pond where Maya Devi took a
bath before she gave a birth to Lord
Buddha. On reaching Lumbini,
transfer to the hotel.

Day 09: |
Visit Lumbini – Buddhist circuit. In
the evening stroll around the
Lumbini Garden.
After breakfast, we take our
pilgrimage tour of Lumbini Gardens
where Lord Buddha was born. Temple
of Maya Devi, Buddha''s mother
depicting the nativity scene of
Buddha and the Ashoka Pillar, built
by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka to
mark his pilgrimage to Lumbini in
240 B.C. are the highlights here.

Day 10: |
Fly Lumbini to Kathmandu (40 mins
flight).
Transfer to the airport and take 40
minutes flight to reach Kathmandu.
On reaching, transfer to the hotel.
Rest of the day is in leisure for
personal activities.

Day 11: |
Visit Kritipur, Dhaksinkali & rest
day free.
Today we scroll around nearby
village of Kathmandu. Kirtipur is a
small town, 8 km southwest of
Kathmandu and situated at top of a
hill. This historic town has many
things to offer like old shrines and
temples and old houses. Some of the
folks are typically dressed in
traditional costumes, and can be
spotted working on looms. Chilandya
Stupa, Bagbhairab Temple and Uma
Maheshwar Temple are the major
attraction of this place. Soon after
sightseeing of this place, we will
head to Dakshinkali (22 km far from
Kathmandu). It is regarded as one of
the most important Hindu goddesses.
Pilgrims visit this temple to offer
their prayers and animal sacrifices
are made to the goddesses. Return to
the hotel and rest of the day free.

Day 12: |
Departure from Kathmandu to onward
journey.
Breakfast in the hotel and rest of
the day free. Your guide will pick
you up from the hotel and will
transfer you to the airport to catch
your onward flight. |
