Day
01: |
Arrival in Kathmandu. On
arrival, you will be meeting by a
representative to provide you with
your airport transfer to your Hotel.
The balance of the day is at leisure
to explore the city known as
Kantipur, the capital of the Federal
Democratic Republic of Nepal.

Day 02: |
Explore flore and fauna in Godavari
Botanical Garden.
Drive to Godavari. It is situated 14
km southwest of the capital city,
Kathmandu. Located at the foothills
of Phulchowki, The Godavari
Botanical Garden has splendid
natural beauty. The road from Patan
City runs to Godavari to the
southeast, passing through the small
old towns of Harisiddhi, Thaiba and
Badegaun. It is the only botanical
garden in Nepal. This is a really
pleasant spot where you can enjoy a
walk. It was opened in 1962 and
nowadays there are approximately 500
specimens of flowering and
non-flowering plants, including some
66 different species of fern, 115
orchids, 77 cacti and succulents,
and about 200 trees and shrubs, some
of them endangered or rare. Later,
transfer to the hotel.

Day 03: |
Explore Phulchoki.
This day we hike to nearby hill
named Phulchowki (2758 m) and it is
a good spot for hiking. A Buddhist
shrine is situated on the top of the
hill which can be reached through
road. If it is beauty you are
looking for then this is the right
hike for you as Phulchowki has some
of the most beautiful and unique
flora in this region. You will be
totally amazed at the incredible
variety of vegetation that can be
found here; it truly is a stunning
hike so remember to bring your
camera along. The plant life is not
the only thing the Phulchowki hike
is known for there is also a large
variety of colorful birds and
butterflies that inhabit this area.

Day 04: |
Fly Kathmandu to Biratnagar (1 hour
approx.) and drive to Koshi Tappu
Wildlife Reserve.
This day you will fly to Biratnagar
which takes an hour and on reaching
Biratnagar, transfer to the Jungle
Resort in Koshi Tappu Wildlife
Reserve. Koshi Tappu is easily
accessible from Biratnagar after
half and an hour drive. Biratnagar
is well connected by road (519 km)
and has several flights from
Kathmandu. Koshi Tappu Wildlife
Reserve lies on the flood plains of
the Sapta Koshi in Saptari and
Sunsari districts of Eastern Nepal.
The Reserve covers 175 sq.km and was
established in 1976. The vegetation
is mainly tall Khar-pater grassland
with a few patches of Khairsissoo,
scrub forest and deciduous mixed
riverine forest. The Reserve offers
an important habitat for a variety
of wildlife. The last surviving
population (about 100 individuals)
of Wild Buffalo are found here.
Other mammals residing here are hog
deer, wild boar, spotted deer and
blue bull. A total of 423 species of
birds are recorded here, including
20 types of ducks, two types of
ibises, many storks, and egrets,
herons and the endangered swamp
partridges and Bengal Floricans. 183
species of different birds are
recorded daily in this area.
Visitors can see minimum 100 types
of birds in a day. On reaching,
check in to the resort.

Day 05: |
Full Day Jungle activities and tour
in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.
Early morning, enjoy bird watching
tour and later, surf on Boat.
Excursion of Koshi river with packed
lunch. We may see the wild buffaloes
along the sand banks and the rare
gangetic dolphins in the water. In
the evening, cultural dance program
of the local Jhagad community.

Day 06: |
Full Day jungle activities and tour
in Khoshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.
In the morning, continue jungle
activities in Koshi Tappu Wildlife
Reserve. Jungle Walk and enjoy bird
watching and visit wild buffalo
area. Excursion of Koshi River. Back
to the resort.

Day 07: |
Drive to Khosi Tappu Wildlife
Reserve – Chitwan National Park (385
kms, 10 hours approx).
Drive to Chitwan for 10 hours
approx. through the beautiful
landscapes. There are ample chances
to see White-rumpled Need tail
Swifts and Ibis bills en-route. Upon
arrival in Jungle Lodge, welcome &
get information by the naturalist.
Chitwan National Park is the most
famous national park in Nepal, which
offers 450 species of birds
including four species of deer,
leopard, sloth bear, wild boar &
much other wildlife. This park is
well known for one horned Rhinoceros
& it is a shelter for few royal
Bengal Tigers. On arrival, transfer
to jungle resort.

Day 08: |
Full day jungle activities in
Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan National Park is one of the
largest forest regions of Nepal and
the main attraction of this place is
a wide range of wildlife – the rare
great one horned rhinoceros, deer,
sloth bear, leopard, wild boar,
fresh water dolphin, crocodile, the
elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and over
350 species of birds. Early in the
morning, you will be taken to the
forest for elephant back ride and
jungle walk. Later, enjoy Tharu
Village Tour, ox cart ride, canoeing
and Elephant Breeding Center.

Day 09: |
Full day jungle activities in
Chitwan National Park.
Early morning, enjoy bird watching
tour and then, drive to Bishajari
Lake. Visit around the lake and
then, enjoy jungle walk and Tharu
cultural show.

Day 10: |
Fly Chitwan to Kathmandu and drive
to Nagarkot.
In the morning, after breakfast,
transfer to Bharatpur Airport. It
takes 25 minutes to reach Kathmandu
by flight. On reaching, drive to
Nagarkot. It is popular tourist
destination of Nepal. It is situated
32 km east of Kathmandu at an
altitude of 2175 m above sea level.
The panorama of the major peaks of
the eastern Nepal Himalaya including
Mt. Everest can be seen from here on
clear day. It is also famous for
sunrise and sunset viewing. On
reaching, transfer to the hotel.

Day 11: |
Early morning explore forest around
Suryavinayak Temple and drive to
Shivapuri National Park.
Early morning, enjoy sunrise view
(weather permitting) from Nagarkot
and then, drive to Suryabinayak
Temple. This is a shrine of Ganesh,
the elephant-headed God, situated in
the beautiful surroundings of
Bhadgaon, placed in a sylvan setting
to catch the first rays of the
rising sun. The view of the city of
Bhaktapur is seen from here with
snow-capped peaks in the background.
Nestled in a thick forest, it is a
good picnic spot flanked by many
attractive landscapes.
Then, we drive to Shivapuri Wildlife
Reserve. Shivapuri Nagarjun National
Park is located about 12 km away on
the northern fringe of Kathmandu
Valley. Shivapuri is the second
highest peak among the hills
surrounding the Kathmandu Valley. It
is 2732m at its peak with numerous
sharp ridges radiating to all sides.
Situated towards the north of the
Kathmandu Valley, due to its
strategic location and convenience,
Shivapuri was proclaimed as a
watershed area supplying more than a
million liters of natural spring
water to the city. After Shivapuri
experienced several problems
concerning soil erosion as a result
of deforestation, over- grazing,
cultivation on steep slopes etc.;
reducing the quality and quantity of
the water supplied, His Majesty's
Govt. of Nepal initiated a program
to protect Shivapuri and its
adjoining areas as a watershed and
wildlife reserve in 1975. As
recently as, in mid 2002 Shivapuri
Watershed and Wildlife Reserve was
officially given a National Park
status. On reaching, check in to the
resort.

Day 12: |
Drive Shivapuri to Kathmandu. Free
ay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, drive back to
Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu,
check in to the hotel.

Day 13: |
Departure from Kathmandu to onward
journey.
Breakfast in the hotel and rest of
the day free. Your guide will pick
you up from the hotel and will
transfer you to the airport to catch
your onward flight. |
