Langtang
Ganja la pass trekking is challenging
trekking trail in langtang Himalaya region.
Lantang ganja la pass trekking offers
panoramic Himalayan views, lush valley and
beautiful Helambu valley. Since langtang
valley ganja la pass trekking trail has been
open, Langtang Ganja la pass trek begins
from Melamchi Bazar, which is linked, with
Katmandu motorable road. Langtang ganja la
pass trek follows through alpine forests,
rich flora and fauna and high altitude
pasturelands. It is a unique wilderness trek
route followed by very few tourists in the
past.
Kyangin Gompa is the point for
acclimatization at a height of 3800m.The
views to the north from the pass, of
Langtang Lirung and the snow peaks in Tibet,
including Shisha Pangma at 8013m, are
outstanding. On a clear day there are also
views of many ranges of hills to the south.
West of the pass is Naya Kanga (5846m),
previously named Ganja La Chuli. The descent
from the pass is steep and dangerous as it
follows a loose screen slope for about 200m
before emerging onto a snow slope. Somehow,
the descent from Ganja La pass, like most
mountain descents, seems more treacherous
than the ascent, no matter which direction
one uses to cross the pass. The route
descends through the basin along a distinct
trail, marked occasionally by rock Cairns,
to a small stream at 4400m. we come down
past a waterfall to a pretty Helambu region,
making our way on one of several alternative
trails through small Sherpa villages towards
the road head at Melamchi pul bazaar.

Day
01: |
Arrival in Kathmandu (1340 m).
Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet/assist by
our representative at the airport
and transfer to hotel. On reaching,
short briefing on day to day program
by our tour guide. Rest of the day
is in leisure.

Day 02: |
Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, proceed for
sightseeing tour with our guide.
Normally, we start sightseeing tours
at 9 in the morning. Visit Kathmandu
Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and
Patan City. Kathmandu Durbar Square,
or Basantapur Durbar Square is the
plaza in front of the old royal
palace from 16th century and is one
of three Durbar Squares in the
Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of
which are UNESCO World Heritage
Sites. The Durbar square is
surrounded by spectacular
architecture and vividly showcases
the skills of the Newari artists and
craftsmen over several centuries.
Swayambhunath is an ancient
religious complex atop a hill in the
Kathmandu Valley, west ofKathmandu
city. It is also known as the Monkey
Temple as there are holy monkeys
living in parts of the temple in the
north-west. Later, you will be
escorted to Patan City for
sightseeing tour. Patan is also
known as city of fine art, is one of
the major cities of Nepal and is
best known for its rich cultural
heritage, particularly its tradition
of arts and crafts. Return to the
hotel.

Day 03: |
Drive Kathmandu - Melamchi Bazar
(846 m).
You drive (5 hours approx.) along
well paved road up to Zero Kilo and
then you travel through gravel and
bumpy path. This is a picturesque
journey as you will be surrounded by
green hills, terraces, streams,
human settlement respectively from
place to place. Melamchi Pul Bazaar,
at the bank of Melamchi River is a
small town where people from
surrounded villages come to buy
commodities as there are numerous
shops, lodges and few small hotels.

Day 04: |
Trek Melamchi Bazar Sermathang
(2590 m).
The trail gradually ascends all the
way to Shermathang through meadows
ad cultivated fields. On the way,
you come across several old villages
with their own particular tradition.
Walking this day is quite pleasant
with views of green hills and
interaction with local and friendly
people. There you can see Jugal
Himal range at the north face of
Shermathang village.

Day 05:
|
Trek Sermathang Tarkegyang (2743
m).
This day the trail is quite easier
through flat land with beautiful
forests on the way. You trek on
crossing some small streams on the
way. There is situated a beautiful
village on the half way to
Tarkeghyang. To add your joy,
Tarkeghyang is another pretty Sherpa
village where you can visit many
ancient monasteries. Tarkeghyang,
also known as Helambu is named after
the Helmu caste. The Sherpa people
living here originally belong to
Helmu caste.

Day 06: |
Trek Tarkegyang Dukpu (4,090 m).
From Tarkegyang the trail ascends
along the ridge through the pass.
From here you see the Dorje Lakpa
and some peaks of Khumbu Regions.
Now we walk ascent through the pine
and rhododendron forests then,
finally we reach to Dukpu.

Day 07:
|
Trek Duppu - Keldang Fu (5106 m)
This day we trek from Dukpu to
Keldang which takes about 6 hours.
We would be walking along ridge,
grassland experiencing pin-drop
silence and enjoying the panoramic
views of Himalayas.

Day 08: |
Trek Keldang Fu - Gunjala (5130 m).
Having breakfast at Keldang Fu, we
trek to Gunjala (5130 m) this day.
Gunja La Pass is to be attemted with
the local advice, adequate
acclimatization, good equipments and
some experience. The pass is usually
blocked by snow from December to the
last week of February and at any
time a bad weather change can make
crossing the pass decidedly
challenging.

Day 09: |
Trek Gunjala Phedhi - Langtang side
High Camp (4975 m)
This day we trek to Langtang High
Camp which takes 6 hours approx. We
will make our camp here and this is
the place.

Day 10:
|
Trek High Camp - Kyanjien Gompa
(3900 m)
The trek continues for about 6 hours
to Kyanjing gompa. Kyanjing gompa is
a small and beautiful village where
we can visit a very old
monastery.Most of the people of this
area are uneducated and mainly
believe in wizard for treatment if
they became sick.from here you can
see the wonderful views of Ganchenpo
and Langtang Himal.

Day 11: |
Rest day at Kyanjien Gompa
Here we have free time for hiking
and during the day we explore around
the village .On this day you can see
the beautiful Monestery, the life
stlyle of the Tibetan people and we
spend overnight there.From here we
can see the beautiful scenery of
Lamgsisa, Bhairab Takura, Dorgee
Lhakpa,Yala and Lirung etc.

Day 12: |
Trek Kyanjien Gompa - Lama Hotel
(2410 m)
From Kyangjin Gompa, we trek the
Langtang Khola to Langtang village
and on to Ghore Tabela. After lunch,
you continue the steep descend to
Lama Hotel. It takes 5 hours approx.
of walk.

Day 13: |
Lama Hotel - Syabru besi (1400 m)
You continue your steps part of the
way to Thulo Syabru, but it branches
off to the left up a steep path
through forest to when suddenly a
view of Syabru and its extensive
area of terraced fields become
visible. An undulating path brings
you to this fascinating village
where each house is set above its
neighbor, in a long line up to the
very crest of the ridge. Its a
great place to wander about,
observing the Tamang way of life,
admiring the beautifully carved
wooden windows or simply relaxing in
the sun.

Day 14: |
Syabru besi Kathmandu.
Drive Syabru besi - Kathmandu by
bus.
After breakfast drive back to
Kathmandu. On reaching, check in to
the hotel. Rest of the day is in
leisure for personal activities.

Day 15: |
Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
Visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath &
Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the
most significant Hindu temples of
Lord Shiva in the world, located on
the banks of the Bagmati River in
the eastern part of Kathmandu. It is
the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu.
It is not known for certain when
Pashupatinath Temple was founded.
But according to holy books, the
deity here gained great fame there
as Pashupati, the Lord of the
Animals. Pashupatinath Temple's
existence dates back to 400 A.D.
Boudhanath is one of the holiest
Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Located
about 11 km from the center and
northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu,
the stupa's massive mandala makes it
one of the largest spherical stupas
in Nepal. Bhaktapur which literally
means a city of devotees is the
oldest city of Nepal. The Bhaktapur
Durbar Square is located in the
current town of Bhaktapur, which
lies 13 km east of Kathmandu. While
the complex consists of at least
four distinct square (Durbar Square,
Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square
and Pottery Square) [1], the whole
are is informally known as the
Bhakapur Durbar Square, and is a
highly visited site in the Kathmandu
Valley.

Departure.
After breakfast, you will be
transferred to the airport for
